What is Motichoor ladoo without boondi
Motichoor ladoo without boondi is a no boondi ladoo prepared using chana dal. Normally, Motichoor ladoos are made with tiny pearl like boondis using gram flour batter. This laddu is one of the alternatives for normal motichoor ladoo. It can be prepared using chana dal. ForΒ boondi ladoos, we make large size boondi and for motichoor ladoo the boondis are smaller in size. For that, We prepare boondis and soaked them in sugar syrup. For this motichoor ladoo, first, wash and soak chana dal and grind it into a coarse paste. Take small portions and fry in hot oil. Grind this fried dal and add to sugar syrup. - 1 cup Chana dhal
- Red color ( optional )
- 1 tsp Cardamom powder
- Oil (as needed)
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- 10 Cashew nut
- 10 Raisins
For sugar syrup
- 1 cup Sugar
- Β½ cup Water
Instructions
- Wash and soak Chana dhal for at least 2 hours.
- After 2 hours, drain all the water completely in the dhal.
- In a mixer, add soaked Chana dhal and grind it into a slightly coarse paste without adding water.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Take small portions of grinded dhal and drop them in the hot oil.
- Fry until it is cooked well.
- Once cooled well, add fried dhal into a mixie and grind it coarsely.
- In a pan, add sugar and water mix well.
- Boil the sugar syrup into one strong consistency.
- Add color and cardamom powder mix well.
- Add grinded dhal and mix well.
- Cover and allow to cool for a few minutes.
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add cashew nuts and raisins roast well.
- Add these roasted cashews into ladoo mixture and mix well.
- Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into ladoo.
- Tasty motichoor ladoo is ready to taste.
