- 1Β½ cup Spring onion flower (chopped)
- 2 tsp Oil
- ΒΌ tsp Mustard seeds
- ΒΌ tsp Jeera
- Curry leaves (few)
- Β½ tsp Red chilly powder
- ΒΌ tsp Turmeric powder
- ΒΌ tsp Jeera powder
- Salt (as needed)
- Β½ cup Coconut
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds, jeera and curry leaves and saute well.
- Add chopped spring onions and saute for a few minutes.
- Cover and cook on a low flame until spring onions cooked well.
- Add red chilly powder, Turmeric powder, jeera powder and salt mix well and saute for a few minutes.
- In a mixer, add coconut and grind it coarsely.
- Add this coarsely grinded coconut to sauteed spring onion and stir well.
- Tasty spring onion stir fry / vengaya poo poriyal is ready to serve.
