What is Tapioca chips
Tapioca chips / Maravalli kilangu chips is a tasty chips recipe especially made in south India. It can be prepared using Tapioca/ kappa/ maravalli kilangu. In Tamilnadu, it is sold in the roadside shops as freshly made. It is simple as well as tasty like other chips- banana chips, jackfruit chips, potato chips, etc. This version of Tapioca chips is made from fresh Tapioca. There are also many versions. For theseĀ TapiocaĀ chips, first, peel off the skin and cut it into thin round slices. Then fried it in hot oil. finally, add some salt and chilly powder. - 2 medium size Tapioca
- Salt ( as needed)
- Red chilly powder (as needed)
- Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Peel off the skin and wash the Tapioca well.
- Cut tapioca into thin round slices and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add tapioca slices one by one and fry on high flame.
- Fry until it turns golden brown color and crispy.
- Once fried, take it out from the oil and add it to a mixing bowl.
- Add salt and red chilly powder and mix it well.
- Crispy Tapioca chips is ready to serve with hot tea.

Note
1.Slices should not be too thick.
2.You can slice with a knife or use a slicer.
3.Once taken out from the oil, instantly add salt and red chilly powder. Otherwise, it will not stick to chips.
