Coconut chutney can be prepared using coconut and chilly powder with simple seasoning with mustard seeds, urad dhal, red chilly and curry leaves. It gives a nice flavor to this chutney. First, grind coconut and chilly powder into a smooth paste and add this to seasoning. Then boil it slightly. It is a very important step in this chutney. - 1 cup Coconut
- 1 tsp Chilly powder
- Salt (as needed)
- 1 tsp Oil
- ΒΌ tsp Mustard seeds
- Β½ tsp Urad dhal
- 1 Red chilly
- Curry leaves (few)
- Water (as needed)
Instructions
- In a blender, add coconut and chilly powder grind it into a smooth paste.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, urad dhal, red chilly and curry leaves saute well.
- Add the coconut paste, salt and pour enough water into it.
- This curry slightly heat, switch off the stove. Donβt allow to boil.
- Coconut chutney is ready to serve with idli or dosa.
