Verum curry can be prepared using coconut, chilly powder, tamarind and salt with a simple seasoning using mustard seeds, red chilly and curry leaves. First grind coconut, tamarind and chilly powder into smooth paste and add it to the seasoning. Then add enough water according to the thickness of the curry. Donβt allow this curry to boil well. This is the important step in thisΒ curry. If it boils well, the taste of curry will differ and it donβt give good taste. Heat until raw smell goes but donβt allow to boil well. - Tamarind (Gooseberry size)
- Salt (As needed)
- 1 tsp Oil
- ΒΌ tsp Mustard seeds
- Curry leaves (few)
- 1 Red chilly
- Water (As needed)
Instructions
- In a blender, add coconut, chilly powder and tamarind grind it into a smooth paste by adding enough water.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds, red chilly and curry leaves saute well.
- Add coconut paste, salt and pour enough water into it and stir well.
- This curry slightly heat and forms small bubbles. switch off the stove. Donβt allow to boil.
- Verum curry is ready to serve with rice.
