What is Palayankodan Banana Halwa
Banana halwa is a healthy banana dessert recipe prepared using overripe palayankodan banana. This halwa is a no sugarΒ dessert recipeΒ prepared using jaggery. For this Palayankodan banana halwa, peel off the skin of ripen bananas and grind it into a smooth paste. Heat ghee in a pan and roast cashew nut and coconut pieces. Then add the banana paste and saute for few minutes. AddΒ JaggeryΒ and stir well. Finally, add roasted cashew nuts and coconut pieces. Delicious banana sweet is ready to serve. - 10 Small Banana
- 1Β½ cup Jaggery
- ΒΌ cup Water
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- ΒΌ cup Coconut pieces
- 10 Cashewnut
- ΒΌ tsp Cardamom powder
Instructions
- Take 10 small bananas and Peel off the skin.
- In a mixer, add peeled bananas grind them into a smooth paste.
- In a pan add 1 Β½ cup of Jaggery and ΒΌ cup of water stir well.
- Boil it until jaggery dissolves.
- Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a pan, add Coconut pieces and fry well.
- Then add cashew nut fry well and take it out from the pan and keep aside.
- Add grinded banana paste and saute for few minutes.
- Filter and add the jaggery syrup stir well for few minutes.
- Once the halwa starts to thicken add cardamom powder mix well.
- Finally, add fried coconut pieces stir well and cook until it turns halwa consistency.
- Delicious healthy banana halwa is ready to serve.
