What is Egg bajji
Egg bajji is an easy Indian tea-time snack recipe prepared using egg and gram flour/besan. It is one of the best eveningΒ snacks recipeΒ to have with hot tea. - 4 Egg (boiled)
- 1 cup Gram flour
- ΒΌ cup Rice flour
- Baking soda (a pinch)
- Salt (as needed)
- 2 tsp Chilly powder
- ΒΌ tsp Turmeric powder
- Β½ tsp Asafoetida
- Red color (optional)
- Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a bowl, add besan flour, rice flour, salt, asafoetida, chilly powder, red color and baking soda mix well.
- Add enough water mix well without lumps and make a thick batter.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Take four boiled eggs and cut them in half.
- Take an egg slice and dip it in the gram flour batter. Coat the batter well on all sides of the egg.
- Drop it into the hot oil.
- Deep fry both sides until it cooks well.
- Egg bajji is ready to serve with hot tea.

1.You can also sieve the flour using a sieve to prevent lumps.
2.Donβt add too much water. The batter should be thick.
