In a mixing bowl, add 1 ½ cup maida, ½ tsp baking soda, a pinch of salt, 2 tbsp curd and ¼ cup ghee mix well.
Add water little by little and make a soft and thick dough. Don’t knead the dough too much.
Take a small amount of dough and make a small ball.
Press in the center using your thumb to form a dent at the center of the ball.
Heat oil in a pan and add badusha to it.
Fry both sides on low flame until it turns golden brown color.
Take it out from oil and keep it aside.
In another pan, add 1 cup sugar and ½ cup water mix well.
Add yellow food color ( optional) and cardamom powder mix well.
Boil the sugar syrup until it comes to one string consistency.
Add fried badusha in sugar syrup and coat the sugar syrup on both sides.
Soak badusha in sugar syrup for 5 minutes.
Delicious badusha or balushahi sweet is ready to serve.
