Banana payasam is a healthy banana dessert recipe prepared using small bananas. This payasam/ kheer recipe is a no sugar dessert recipe prepared with jaggery. Overripe bananas are best for this recipe.

20 Small banana 2 cup Jaggery 2 tbsp Ghee 1 cup Coconut milk ΒΌ cup Coconut pieces 10 Cashew nut 10 Raisins 1 tsp Cardamom powder
Peel off the banana skin and add it to a blender and grind it into a smooth paste.
Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a pan.
Add coconut pieces and roast until it turns golden brown.
Add cashew nut and raisins and roast well. Take it out and keep it aside.
Add grinded banana paste and saute for a few minutes or until the banana is cooked well.
Add 2 cups of jaggery and cardamom powder mix well until jaggery melts completely.
Add 1 cup of coconut milk and mix well.
Add roasted coconut and cashew nuts and mix well.
Healthy banana payasam is ready to serve.
