Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Gram flour
  • Baking soda (a pinch)
  • Salt (a pinch)
  • Yellow colour (a pinch)
  • Water ( as needed)
  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • 10 Cashew nut
  • 10 Raisins
  • Oil ( for frying)

For sugar syrup

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Water
  • ½ tsp Cardamom powder
  • Yellow colour (a pinch)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup gram flour, baking soda, salt and yellow colour.
  • Add required water mix well without lumps and make a liquid consistency batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Pour the batter on the holed spoon or skimmer, spread it using another spoon.
  • Fry boondis until cooked well. Don’t cook the boondis too crispy. If it is cooked too crispy sugar syrup doesn’t absorb well and the ladoo becomes hard.
  • Fry all boondis and keep aside.
  • Take a pan, add 1 cup sugar and ½ cup water mix well.
  • Add cardamom powder and yellow color mix well.
  • Boil the sugar syrup until it comes to one string consistency.
  • Add the sugar syrup to boondi mix well.
  • Cover and keep it for few minutes.
  • After few minutes, all sugar syrup is absorbed well.
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add cashew nuts and raisins fry well and add it to boondi.
  • Mix well and shape it as a ladoo.
  • Soft and juicy boondi laddoo is ready to serve.
