Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Ragi flour
  • 1 cup Wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • ½ tsp Baking soda
  • ¼ cup Vegetable oil
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Jaggery / Country sugar
  • ½ cup Curd
  • Milk (As needed)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • Chopped nuts (few)

Instructions

  • Take a pan, add ragi flour and dry roast well until nice aroma comes andallow to cool
  • Grease oil in a baking pan and keep aside
  • Take a mixing bowl, add curd and jaggery and mix well until jaggery dissolves
  • Add vegetable oil and mix well
  • Take a Siever, add roasted ragi flour, wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sieve well without lumps
  • Mix flour and jaggery mixture well
  • Add vanilla essence mix well
  • Add milk little by little and mix well until it comes to a creamy consistency
  • Add this cake mixture to the greased baking pan
  • Add chopped nuts to the top of the cake
  • Tap the pan twice to remove air bubbles in the batter
  • Preheat oven at 180 °C for 10 minutes and bake the cake mixture at 180 °C for 30 - 40 minutes
  • Take it out and insert a toothpick to check whether the cake is cooked or not. If the toothpick comes out clean, the cakeis cooked. Otherwise, bake it for few more minutes
  • Allow the cake to cool completely
  • Cut it into pieces and enjoy
