Cut kovakkai into slightly thick round slices.
In a mixer, add coconut, green chilly, small onion, ½ tsp mustard seeds, ½ tsp jeera and water and grind it into a smooth paste.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan.
Add kovakkai and salt and fry it on low flame until it turns golden brown and keep it aside.
Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, red chilly and curry leaves and saute well.
Add grinded coconut paste and saute for a few minutes on low flame until the raw smell goes well.
Add curd and salt mix well and switch off the flame. Don’t allow it to boil.
Finally, add fried kovakkai and mix well.
Tasty kovakkai pachadi / dondakaya pachadi is ready to serve with rice.
