Ingredients
  

  • ½ kg Mutton
  • 2 cup Small onion (chopped)
  • 2 Tomato (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • ¼ tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 1 Star anise
  • 5 Cloves
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 1 Bay leaves
  • Curry leaves (few)
  • Salt (as needed)
  • 2 to 3 tsp Chilly powder
  • 3 tsp Chicken masala
  • Coriander leaves (few chopped)

To prepare ginger garlic paste

  • 1 Ginger (piece)
  • 10  pods Garlic

To prepare coconut paste

  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 15 Small onion
  • 1 cup Coconut

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add small onion and saute well.
  • Add coconut and saute until it turns golden brown. Allow this to cool for a few minutes.
  • In a mixer, add sauted small onion and coconut and grind into smooth paste by adding enough water.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  • Add mustard seeds, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, cardamom and bay leaves saute well.
  • Add curry leaves and saute well.
  • Add chopped small onion and saute until it turns golden brown.
  • In a mixer, add ginger and garlic and grind them into a paste.
  • Add grinded ginger garlic into it and saute well.
  • Add chilly powder and chicken masala saute well.
  • Add chopped tomato saute well until tomato cooked well.
  • Add mutton and saute for a few minutes.
  • Add grinded coconut paste and saute for a few minutes.
  • Add salt and enough water into it mix well.
  • Cover and cook for 5 to 6 whistles.
  • Finally, add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Mutton curry is ready to serve.
