Ingredients
  

  • 3 Large Banana / ethapazham
  • Oil (for frying)

For batter

  • 2 cup Maida
  • Yellow color (a pinch)
  • ¼ tsp Baking soda
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • Water (as needed)

For filling

  • ½ cup Poha
  • ¼ cup Jaggery
  • ¼ cup Coconut

Instructions

  • To make a filling, take a mixing bowl and add aval, jaggery and coconut mix well and keep aside.
  • Peel off the skin and cut a slit in the center of the banana.
  • Take some filling and filled in the center of the banana and keep it aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, add Maida, yellow color, salt, baking soda and water mix well and make a slightly thick batter.
  • Take a banana and dipped it in the batter and Coat the batter well on all sides of the banana.
  • Drop it in the hot oil and fry both sides well on medium flame.
  • Once fried well and it turns a golden color, take out from oil.
  • Tasty valapazham roast is ready to serve with hot tea.
