Ingredients
  

  • 10 Pappad
  • 1 cup Small onion (chopped)
  • Salt (as needed)
  • Oil (as needed)
  • ¼ tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 Red chilly
  • 1 tsp Urad dhal
  • few Curry leaves

For grind

  • ½ cup Coconut
  • 1 tsp Red chilly powder
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp Jeera

Instructions

  • Fry papadam and break it into small pieces keep it aside
  • In a mixie, add coconut, jeera, red chilly powder and turmeric powder grind coarsely
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, red chilly, urad dhal and curry leaves
  • Add chopped small onions and salt saute well until it turns golden brown
  • Add coarsely grinded coconut saute well
  • Finally, add papadam pieces and stir well
  • Papadam thoran / Papadam poriyal is ready to serve with rice.
